It is a contouring treatment for small areas. It is not a weight-loss treatment and we will not treat it as one.
Thirty to forty-five minutes, then three to seven days of swelling that is genuinely noticeable. The change appears from four weeks, and the cells that go do not come back.
The solution disrupts the membrane of the fat cell. The released fat is processed and cleared through the lymphatic system over four to eight weeks, and the treated cells do not come back.
Cells that were not treated can still expand, so a stable weight matters more than the injection does.

Best results are in people close to their target weight with good skin quality. Loose skin will not tighten on its own, which is why the chin is often treated alongside HIFU.
The area is marked in a grid and treated with a series of small injections. It stings during and aches afterwards, rather like a hard gym session in one specific place.
Expect firm swelling for three to seven days — under the chin this is obvious, so plan around it. Compression helps on the body. Drink properly and keep moving.
Two to four sessions, six weeks apart, is normal. We photograph in fixed positions each time because the change is gradual and easy to miss in the mirror.
